Shoegasm: Alejandro Ingelmo "Cece" Lace-Up Wedges

I had the opportunity to get a peak at the Alejandro Ingelmo Spring 2011 presentation during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and I can say I am a fan now. These wedges are giving me a serious shoegasm.

This leather platform 5.5 inch wedge boot, with faux lace-up styling and buckle detail, will put a small dent in your Louie bag - $795.00. But aren't they just too cute to leave in Bloomies?

Fall Must Haves

As the cool breeze enters my apartment I am reminded that Fall is here!! So it's time to beef up my wardrobe with new fall trends. The tricky part is finding them in MY SIZE!

I am trying really hard not to turn this into another "angry fat gurl" blog so I will just shout out all the brands that I support and love! Not the ones that make me puke!

First I need a good jacket. It was uber cold last season and I think it's gonna be even worst this winter. Just in case we get another 36 inches this winter I want to be prepared!

This coat will put a huge dent in my savings but it's uber chic and I think it will be great for fashion week this February.

Monif C - $355.00

The Jumpsuit

I get a little jealous when a trend comes around and I cannot find it to fit over all of my curves - but looky here! A jumpsuit. Not sure if ALL my curvy divas should run out and buy this but I am!

Monif C - $198.00

THE LACE DRESS

Celebs have been rocking lace everything for the past 2 seasons so it's only right that I catch up and get me a LBD in lace!

Kiyonna - $158.00

A Big Sweater

I usually get hot all too quick but I think a big over-sized sweater can be an good replacement for a coat during trips to NY. No one wants to carry their jacket around. But a sweater ...

OneStopPlus.com $39.99-$44.99

A Leopard Print "something"

Since I am a curvy diva I refuse to wear prints above my ankle. Before I submit to any trend it has to make sense on my body and a leopard shirt or dress ain't for me. But since I am a "self- proclaimed fashionista", I must purchase something with an animal print!

Bakers - $79.95

An over the knee boot

Yes, this fiesty boot is trendy for this fall season AGAIN. What better to sexy-up your plain black leggings and over-sized sweater than with these!

Bakers - $99.95

Lace up boots / Military

I go back and forth with some fashion friends. And to heel or no heel is a constant battle for me. But I love both styles and no matter what your mood is both are uber chic.

Bakers $49.99 (heels) $79.99 (flats)

A loafer pump

Loafers are officially the new fall style for pumps. Grab them in glitter to add a little "saucy chic" too it.

Miu Miu - $695.00 (definitely need a sponsor for these)

Sequin something!

Sparkle, glitter, and shine is still in for the Holiday season. If done right even us curvy divas will turn heads at the party!

Tadashi Shoji  - $408.00 (at Bloomies)

I saw his collection at MBFW and now that I know he designs for me too, I so love him more!!

A Faux Fur

You don't want anyone throwing any red paint on you so opt for a faux fur. Nice option for a coat when traveling.

Michael Kors - $139.50 (at Bloomies)

I think I am going to order this NOW! I loves it! MK is my fav luxe brand of all.

A leather skirt

That's right! She's back - the leather skirt. You thought we left her in the 90's didn't you. Or wait was that 1980? Either way she's here and ready.

IDK if I am going to be able to rock this trend. I just wanted to keep you informed, LOL.

Jules Plus Size Miltary leather pencil skirt - $195.00 (at Bloomies)

And shout out to plus model Crystal Renn - she sure is collecting those checks, skinny or not!

A soft & silky blouse

I am not personally a fan of this trend but this model and picture is everything! It's so simple and chic.

It goes to show that a good photograph will make you want to buy something even it's not the right trend for you.

Jules plus size over-sized silk blouse - $130.00 (at Bloomies)

I could go on and on and this would be the longest trend blog post in history so I will leave you with this. Remember that being stylish and trendy is personal. It's all about how you wear it and how confident you appear. So keep your chin up when you walk and don't let your heels make that annoying "clunk" sound.

Toodles!

Burberry Prorsum: London Fashion Week Spring 2011

The title of the collection was "Heritage Biker" but it should have been "Killer Stilettos". Just like in NY, London models fall too. When will these designers learn. .

Beyonce Gets Down at Block Party

As if I didn't already know she was THE coolest celeb on earth.

Beyonce recently visited her mother-in-law in West Orange and while there she showed off her dance moves at a block party. I'm sure she made those kids week! Never mind the person who uploaded this video spelled her name "Beyounce" perhaps she was elated she capture the moment.

The dance is called "The Wobble" in case you were in the dark like me. I am sure someone will make an instructional video very soon!

Monif C Dresses - The Perfect Birthday Suit

My birthday is just a little over 30 days away. I've got the perfect party venue ... the perfect cupcakes ... the perfect hair-cut ... but I am missing the 2 most important elements of my evening - perfect dress and shoes.

As I browsed through countless online shopping sites I quickly remembered one of my favs - MONIF C. Ahh yas, uber fab fitting plus size dresses.

I've got just 2 dilemmas - (1.)  I am on a tight budget (saving for a move), and (2.) I cannot decide which dress to purchase. Well the first problem I will have to find a sponsor for, but I need you guys to help me decide which dress my sponsor will be purchasing.

Take a look at the dresses below and vote for the one you think I can rock for my birthday. (what a coinky dink my hair is cut just like the model Fluvia)

Paul Smith: London Fashion Week S/S 2011

Sleek trousers, neat blouses, and funked out hair - Paul Smith perfectly translates his infamous menswear to his new womenswear collection during London Fashion Week.

This British fashion designer and menswear icon typically designs for tall, slender men but now we can add tall slender women to his resume. Take a look at a few pics and the video of the show.

My MBFW Photo Diary

9/23/2010 1:46pm -

If you're up like me you know its too darn late to be doing anything productive. So this will be my last MBFW post.

I had such a great time this season. I met hella folks - famous, not so much, and a few in between. I did a bunch of unnecessary tweeting and drank a lot of Startbucks.

I saw Robert Verdi outside of the L.A.M.B show. Well really I saw him all week.

I snagged Fern up over at the cafe. I wonder why no one harasses her for a picture?

Kelly Rowland at the Georges Chakra show.

My girl, Tiffany and I after the Concept Korea show. I need to take more plus 1's next season. Its always nice to have someone to "cut up" with.

The Concept Korea was another favorite of mine. The lighting show in the beginning was amazing.

And they get the HEYBELLA award for those uber fab shoes! YAS hunty!

Miki Taylor from Essence at the PORTS1961 show.

Assunta is one of our writers over at Iconography The Magazine - I had just met her that day and within 5 minutes we're geeking like childhood cuzzos! Love you hear!

Some model type guy. I thought he was cute. I wanted a snap of just him but he said I was too beautiful not to be in the pic too. Oh you boys have such game these days.

Me and shawty from Will and Grace. No really he is short!

S/O to my Charlotte Chicas! They were drunk as a skunk from the free wine.

Miss Jay Alexander himself

The FNO bus that Giselle, Naomi, and the others walked off of during the show that Tuesday night.

We could see the 9/11 tribute from out Brooklyn homeaway.com apartment.

Kimora tweeted me back and asked why I didn't speak to her. So off I went and clearly everyone say my tweet and ambushed her!

Grabbing sushi - soy sauce make me goofy!

There was a show outside on the sidewalk - but they only walked across the street?

I even got a chance to sneak backstage at my BFF's show. I see you @bethanytownes

Sam Fine at the Jones Awards! He's such a humbled diva.

My new fav travel bag from My Black Is Beautiful

I really wanted to take a picture with him but he was giving someone directions to the Tommy Hilfiger after party.

Toccara strutting it at the OnePlusStop.com show. She was a little extra though but I still love you boo!

Whitney Thompson from ANTM - with an UBER fab dress on!

Gabi Gregg, the newest addition to MTV - @MTVVJ

My backstage pass for the Odd Molly. (damn Gel nails effed my nails all up - see in the spring with some fresh Dashing Diva colors)

Backstage @ Odd Molly with Dashing Diva Nails

Everyone in NYC has a gimmick! That's how you get noticed out of those 10million folks walking around. Even the homeless got talent.

The AOL media lounge was my second home!

Dammit, he's still talking!

My second plus 1 at the L.A.M.B. show. Next year she's gonna be my sidekick because @calicuite is a pure solid gold champion! Love you hear.

After a long hot week it felt good to sit down! See you next season.
