Was Kimora's head photoshopped onto someone else's body???

Someone has got some explaning to do! Kimora Lee Simmons debuted her fifth fragrance, Dare Me, earlier this month - and it appears that it may not be her body we are looking at. Say it isn't so Kimora. Being a photographer myself and a fan of her show I thought- somethings not quite right with this image.
According to all of the blogworld, Kimora's head was photoshopped on to Daria Werbowy's body. The original image is from the March 2005 cover of Vogue. I smell a lawsuit on this one. Just goes to show you can create any image you want.

I will be the first to admit I saw this coming. However my theory was Greg left NeNe ... for a man. After seeing him running down the driveway in those heels, LOL! I don't personally remember but according to the Wendy Williams Show RHOA Kim ratted NeNe out on Watch What Happens Live.
Lane Bryant Video Banned from ABC and FOX?

I had a lengthy "facebook" discussion earlier today which prompted me to share this video with you guys. If you have been living under a rock let me get you up to speed. Earlier this week, Lane Bryant published a blog post accusing ABC and FOX networks of censoring their new lingerie advertisement claiming they would not air the commercial during prime time hours.
Lane Bryant model Ashley Graham (the model featured in the commercial) basically threw ABC and FOX under the bus in an interview:
"ABC restricted our airtime and refused to show the commercial during “Dancing with the Stars.” Fox demanded excessive re-edits and rebuffed it three times before relenting to air it during the final 10 minutes of “American Idol,” but only after we threatened to pull the ad buy. Yes, these are the same networks that have scantily-clad housewives so desperate they seduce every man on the block, and don’t forget Bart Simpson, who has shown us the moon more often than NASA, all in what they call “family hour.”
A comment was released by ABC:
“Their statements are not true. The ad was accepted. Lane Bryant was treated absolutely no differently than any advertiser for the same product. We were willing to accommodate them, but they chose to seek publicity instead.”
Since both networks are running the VS commercials that appear to be even more scandalous, of course Lane Bryant is extremely angry. So angry that they have released documents from ABC that prove the commercial is restricted to "daytime dramas" or "post-9pm". It is also restricted from running during any family shows.
As media we must be held more responsible for shaping a positive body image for our young women. In a world were videos, and talk shows babysit our children it is necessary to create realistic views of our lives. If we as media continue to mold our women into "Barbie" and the unobtainable sample size "negative 0" we will continue to create the starving woman.

5 Reasons to "Say NO" to Lace Front Wigs!

Emore J Couture said it best - "THE Worst Invention to the average woman". OK, so let me not assume everyone knows what a lace front wig is. Simply put - it's a wig that is made to appear as if its your hair growing naturally out of your scalp BUT it's really a wig. I say work with what God originally gave you and keep it movin'. BUT I know we all like diversity in our lives and some days you want long others maybe you want something short. Perhaps you're feeling like a blond or maybe even a red head. A rule of thumb should be - unless you're bringing in the millions like Bey, Mary J, J Hud, or Tyra (just to name a few) lets just stick to a good ole fashion weave! I mean even the celebrities don't ALWAYS get this right.
1. Cheap is never good. If your lace front only cost you $39.99, chances are you are going to look ... crazy...deranged! 
2. If you are going out for a night at the club or going for a workout, you're going to get a little hot, right? Trust, that lace front will ripple around the edges like the Atlantic Ocean.
3. It's not and should not be worn as an everyday wig ... unless you are a celebrity or maybe for a medical reason.
4. Makeup is often applied on the hairline to disguise the wig which to me just seems like a bad idea. Now we can clearly see the outline of the wig!
5. Did you buy the lace front made with synthetic hair? #EPICFAIL!
If I missed any reasons PLEASE comment and be a good friend and tell her that her lace front isn't quite working out. Take up a donation at your job for a new weave for her. She'll love you in the end.

Last night ABC’s Nightline aired a discussion panel titled “Why Can’t A Successful Black Woman Find A Man” with co host Steve Harvey and panelists Sherri Shephard, Jacque Reid, Jimi Izreal, and Hill Harper. I've always find this topic interesting because most of the women I know in my generation are single women. I have plenty of single friends, single cousins, and single associates. So I wonder often is being single and black really an issue? Or is this just a trendy topic for the moment.
Are black women looking for an ideal that doesn't exist? Are black women impatient, bitter, or just too damn talkative? Or are black men afraid of commitment? Are they just habitual cheaters and liars?

Hip Hop "Guru" dies @ 43!

Hip Hip legend Keith "Guru" Elam died Monday from cancer related causes at the age of 43yrs old, as reported by MTV. Guru's friend and partner Solar released a statement following his passing.
"The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time-my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," Solar wrote, according to MTV. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man a true genius."
My prayers go out to the family and close friends of this talented legend of Hip Hop.

I cannot imagine why some trends make their way back around but the "boat shoe" is soooo not welcome in my closet. It seems that the "boat shoe" is may a serious comeback in the world of streetwear.

"The Game" sitcom returns on BET {#TheGameOnBET}

If you were rooting for Melanie and Derwin to get back together and then were uber excited when their wedding day finally came all for the show to be cancelled, I know you are going to be totally happy to hear that "The Game" is back!
Via their officially twitter page the cast is filming new episodes in the ATL now! I just finished watching all the episodes on Netflix!
BET also annouced a deal with Queen Lataifah's Flavor Unit to produce scripted programs and original movies. The Mo'Nique Show will also be back for season 2 (perhaps she won't yell this season?).
Of course like all of TV there will be more reality shows (or scripted programs) on BET and Centric - The Laurieann Gibson Project, The Kennedys (a look into the life of skateboarder Terry Kennedy), The Steve Harvey Project, and Almost Married. No word on whether Model City will be returning for a second season.

My bff and I must have talked Eve up, because no sooner did I ask "what happened to Eve?" we saw the "My Chick Bad" remix video. Eve recently spoke with Vibe and shared her thoughts on Nicki Minaj.
“I am a fan of the fact that she’s a female MC in the game. I gotta be honest, I don’t really know many of her records. I’ve seen a few things, honestly I don’t [remember them] and I’m being really real. I don’t really know her that well,” she tells VIBE. “When she was on [the “My Chick Bad” music video] set, she was nice as shit. To me, if her music was dope and she would’ve been an asshole than I wouldn’t have been a fan. I’m more a fan of hers as a person.”
"Trust me, no one’s competition for me and that sounds cocky but I seriously live in such an Eve world. And not in a crazy-everything-is-me-bubble, it’s just that I'm bulding an empire," the 31-year-old says. "I go on Twitter and people say 'Yo, knock Nicki Minaj out of the box, but ultimately we’re all helping each other and I'm happy seeing these chicks in the game. It’s too much testosterone. When I see another female, my immediate reaction is not 'Oh I gotta go and get my shit right.' I got 900 other things going on. I can't keep worrying about what’s coming up behind me."
Eve is currently working on her fourth album, Lip Lock, to be released later this year.
Kayne's New Album {Good Ass Job} to drop in June

According to Billboard.com, Kayne is tucked away in his Diamond Head, Hawaii home and recording studio putting together his new masterpiece. Tentatively titled "Good Ass Job", the new album will feature Q-Tip, RZA, and Pete Rock just to name a few. Although Q-Tip did confirm his participation on the project, Pete Rock denys his contributions via twitter stating he is just on a vacation. Surrre!

At first I didn't see the big deal but now I wonder. Perhaps she didn't realized that her video would cause this much commotion or maybe this was a pricey PR motive? Think about it, she undressed in broad daylight at the site of JFK’s 1963 assassination, in front of a few hundred witnesses, including a woman and her two small children who later pressed charges and told authorities she was “offended.” Hummmm?
Police in Dallas charged Erykah Badu with disorderly conduct after she stripped naked in the middle of Dealey Plaza for the video shoot last month. Badu will be sent a citation next week, and could face up to a $500 fine.
